The Barclays Pingit person-to-person mobile payment service is now available to customers from all UK banks and building societies.
Barclays Pingit, which was launched in February to Barclays customers, allows users to send and receive money by using a mobile phone number instead of requiring bank account and sort code details.

NFC-equipped smartphones can be used to copy data from contactless credit cards, according to a report by Channel 4 News.
It showed security company ViaForensics successfully copying a cardholder’s name and card number from a Barclays Visa card. Attempts to access card information from other providers wasn’t successful.
