Dixons Carphone to launch its own mobile network via Three UK

Reseller deals are in place with EE, O2 and Vodafone

The Dixons Carphone Group, formed last summer when Dixons Retail and Carphone Warehouse merged, says it’ll launch a virtual mobile network this spring in partnership with Three UK.

The MVNO deal promises “innovative and highly personalised connectivity options”, according to the company.

Ofcom changes UK mobile licences to include 90% geographic coverage commitment

Ofcom has changed the licences of the UK’s ‘big four’ mobile network operators to improve mobile coverage.

EE, O2, Three and Vodafone have all agreed to accept this change.

It’s proposed a deal worth £10.25 billion in cash.
