It was called ipadio and it offered a straightforward proposition: you made a phone call and ipadio would turn it into a live online broadcast with a permanent online recording - either as a free service for consumers or as a premium service for businesses.

Apple has been granted a patent that covers the ‘unlocking’ of a smartphone screen by sliding a finger across the display or entering a pattern.

Sony Corporation and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson have agreed to make the Sony Ericsson mobile phone business a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony. Sony is paying 1.05 billion Euro for Ericsson’s 50% share.
As well as helping Sony integrate smartphones into its product portfolio, it’ll also give Sony a handful of wireless technology patents.
