Samsung Electronics says it’s signed a ‘preferred partner’ agreement that’ll see Carphone Warehouse operating over 60 Samsung stand-alone stores across Europe.
It follows the opening of three Carphone Warehouse-run Samsung stores in Spain last year.

Vodafone has launched its mobile wallet in Europe, enabling customers to pay by touching a compatible smartphone against a retailer’s NFC reader.
It’s the first European mobile payment service built on the secure GlobalPlatform open standard.

New data from the comScore MobiLens service has shown how smartphones are increasingly associated with retail shopping in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Overall, one in five European smartphone users had used their handset to access a retail web site, with more than a quarter of UK smartphone owners visiting retail web sites on their phones.

Consumers in Spain will be able to buy Firefox OS smartphones from tomorrow. Telefónica is going to sell the ZTE Open at its Movistar stores for €69 incl. VAT (£59) on pre-pay and ‘pay monthly’ tariffs.
This is expected to be followed by Deutsche Telekom selling the Alcatel One Touch Fire handset in Poland.
