Vodafone Global Enterprise, the business unit that manages the communications needs of Vodafone’s largest multinational customers, is acquiring European IT and communications consultancy Bluefish Communications Ltd in a deal worth around £3 million.
The acquisition will help Vodafone Global Enterprise create a new Unified Communications and Collaboration practice that’ll offer advice and guidance about mobile, fixed-line, IT and cloud-based services.

Vodafone UK is revising its price plans for sole traders and smaller businesses into set of tariffs that automatically include a number of benefits.
As well as receiving monthly allowances of data, calls and text messages that can - where appropriate - be shared between other users on the same account, Vodafone Business customers are able to use their mobile data when ‘tethered’ to a laptop or tablet and are also being given 2GB of BT Openzone WiFi per month.

More US internet users will access the internet through mobile devices than through PCs or other fixed-line devices by 2015, according to the latest Worldwide New Media Market Model from the International Data Corporation.
IDC expects the number of mobile internet users to increase by a compound annual growth rate of 16.6% between 2010 and 2015.

Ofcom has explained how it plans to safeguard the supply of landline numbers across the UK, avoiding the need to change existing phone numbers.
It says the increasing number of communications providers holding blocks of allocated numbers has led to pressure on the supply of phone numbers in some areas.

New research from Ofcom shows that 27% of adults (and 47% of teenagers) now own a smartphone. Most of these people have acquired their device in the last 12 months.
Ofcom's Communications Market Report also reveals that smartphone users make more calls and send more texts than regular mobile users, with 81% of smartphone users making calls every day compared with 53% of 'regular phone' users.
