Although the Apple iPhone is often seen as a device that’s easily broken, a new study suggests it’s actually tougher than other smartphones. However, an iPhone is also more likely to be lost.
The figures come from US-based ProtectCELL, which offers mobile protection plans and services.

Apple has used the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show to reveal CarPlay, a service that had previously been branded as ‘iOS in the Car’.
Drivers with CarPlay integration in their cars will be able to control an iPhone by pressing a voice control button on the steering wheel or using the car’s own multimedia interface.

Apple has announced financial results for the first quarter of its 2014 financial year; the three-month period that ended on 28th December 2013.
Quarterly revenue reached a record $57.6 billion (£34.7 billion) with quarterly net profit of $13.1 billion (£7.9 billion). That’s a 5.7% year-on-year increase in revenue, with profit largely unchanged from the same quarter a year ago.

0.1% of the world’s 4G users consumed more than half of all LTE downlink data in 2013, according to a new report. That makes these ‘extreme’ 4G users 10 times more data hungry than 3G customers, where 1% of users consume half of all 3G downlink data.
The figures come from the JDSU Location Intelligence Business Unit, which was known as Arieso until its acquisition last year.
