Amazon.co.uk has started selling ‘pay monthly’ mobile phones online.

More than 90 different handsets are being offered, including the Amazon Fire smartphone, thanks to an agreement with O2 UK.

Telefonica launches a consumer 'Internet of Things' product to control temperature, lighting and humidity

Telefónica, the company behind O2 in the UK, has launched an ‘Internet of Things’ product that enables consumers to monitor and control the temperature, humidity and lighting in their home or office.

It’s the first in a range of modular solutions called Thinking Things, which will let users develop their own ‘smart’ M2M solutions without any programming knowledge or the need to install additional infrastructure.

EE is offering customers 100MB of mobile data every month if they buy a ‘pay as you go’ 4G smartphone or 4G tablet for Christmas.

The offer is open until 28th December 2014 for smartphone purchases and 31st January 2015 for tablets.

iZettle creates pop-up London store to showcase mobile-based payment technology

Competition launched to find final company to trade from the shop

Mobile payment provider iZettle is creating a ‘12 Hour Store’ in central London that’ll give six small businesses the opportunity of trading from one of the world’s busiest shopping districts.

It’s opening a pop-up shop at 36 South Molton Street from 27th October until 1st November 2014. Each company will be able to trade for a single 12-hour period from 9am until 9pm, with their credit and debit card payments powered by iZettle’s mobile-based technology.
