Mobile TV penetration approaches 50% in South Korea

South Korean digital TV company TU Media has calculated that around 45% of the country’s population has a DMB mobile television device. The company, which launched its satellite-based service four years ago, has just signed its 2 millionth subscriber. However, both of those figures also include TV received on portable devices that aren’t mobile phones. [Source: TelecomsKorea.com]
