Ofcom’s board has chosen Steve Unger as its interim Chief Executive from the end of this year. He’ll be in the role until the UK communications regulator makes a permanent appointment in the New Year.
Current Ofcom CEO Ed Richards had already announced plans to leave at the end of December 2014, after more than eight years in the job.
Steve Unger is currently Director of Ofcom’s Strategy, International, Technology and Economist Group.
