A customisable Braille mobile phone has been announced by London-based business OwnFone.
The device has up to four pre-programmed memory buttons that can be printed with braille or raised text.

Age UK, the charity for older people formed from Age Concern and Help the Aged, has teamed up with virtual mobile network CyCell to launch its own mobile phone deal.
The Age UK My Phone is customised when it’s ordered, offering up to eight buttons programmed with the telephone numbers of important contacts. Rather than using numbers, the buttons show each person’s name.

Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator Cognatel, which works with Vodafone in the UK, has created a new virtual mobile network for what’s described as the UK’s first customisable mini mobile phone.
CyCell will run the MVNO with a ‘white label’ credit card sized mobile handset that can be designed within days. Pre-programmed numbers can be linked to printed buttons on the phone, with all the call routing based within the network.
