Sony Ericsson has appointed Jan Uddenfeldt as the company's Corporate Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and head of its Silicon Valley facility. Mr Uddenfeldt has 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including a period as CTO of Ericsson. He was previously Sony Ericsson's Senior Vice President and Senior Technology Advisor.
The new role is based at the company’s California R&D offices, reporting directly to Sony Ericsson president Bert Nordberg.
