Apple sells 21 million iPhones – and is set for 1 billion downloads

Apple published its quarterly results yesterday, revealing that it had sold 3.79 million iPhones in the previous three months – up 123% year-on-year – giving it a total of around 21 million devices since launch. And it looks likely that the company will be celebrating 1 billion downloads from the Apple app store later today or early tomorrow. [Press release]
