A member of the public who wants to outlaw mobiles at funerals and temples has won support from the Indian parliament. The Committee on Petitions at India’s Rajya Sabha, parliament's upper house (similar to the UK’s House of Lords), said people needed to be educated where and how to use mobile phones… and said laws to enforce this would be appropriate. Gurjit Singh, the man who started the petition, also wants mobile phone jammers deployed on school buildings and wants to ban cameraphones. [Source: TimesOnline.co.uk]
