Andy Rubin, who’s Google’s senior director for Mobile Platforms, has said there’ll be 18 to 20 Android-powered devices on sale by the end of this year. He says they’ll be made by eight or nine manufacturers… and the figure doesn’t include manufacturers who’ve downloaded the basic Android system without telling Google of their plans.
