There's been consolidation among international SIM card providers, with GO-SIM Limited acquiring the assets of Oneroam UK. Oneroam ceased trading last month.

GO-SIM, which was founded in 2005 and currently has offices in the UK and the USA, has bought Hampshire-based Oneroam for an undisclosed sum. It says it's also in discussions with another competitor, several network operators and a number of prospective investment funders.

David Agar, GO-SIM's CEO, said "GO-SIM is a progressive company and is not in the business of standing still. Our aim is to become the leading supplier of international prepaid SIM cards and GO-SIM's management team is highly focused and determined to drive this ambition forward."

Oneroam's customers have now been transferred to GO-SIM, which means they'll still be able to make and receive calls at lower rates than using standard network SIM cards.
