Following on from last month’s research figures, which reckoned mobile phone shipments were down somewhere between 11% and 16% between Q1 2008 and Q1 2009 comes a new report from consultants at Ovum. They reckon global mobile phone shipment volumes will be down 9.1% in 2009; we’ll see a recovery next year although it’ll be 2012 before volumes return to last year’s levels. [Press release]
