The Home Office is promoting its current anti-knife crime campaign with a downloadable mobile application. The software, called Pocket Beatz, lets users record and play their own tunes by mixing different musical elements together. Pocket Beatz, which is being targeted at 11-16 year olds, will be promoted via the O2 Active mobile internet portal, on the 'It doesn't have to happen' BeBo page and will also be available to download via Bluetooth at promotional events. The UK government encouraging children to use mobile phones?  Surely not. [Source: NMA.co.uk]
