A brainstorming day run by T-Mobile UK with a dozen farmers, M&C Saatchi Mobile, the National Farmers Union and EBLEX (the organisation for the English beef and sheep industry) has resulted in some fascinating mobile-focussed solutions. The aim was to raise awareness of the benefits that smartphone technology can bring farmers and other small business owners.

ExclusiveMotorola MOTOACTV fitness device hits the UK next month

Motorola Mobility has confirmed that the MOTOACTV fitness and music device - announced last month at the same time as the new RAZR smartphone - is coming to the UK next month.

It’ll be stocked by sports retailer Sweatshop from the beginning of December. Current pricing is £249.99.

ExclusiveMobile privacy company Whisper Systems joins Twitter

Mobile privacy and security company Whisper Systems, which is probably best known for creating encryption applications that were used by protesters in Egypt earlier this year, has been acquired by Twitter.

Country-specific versions of the RedPhone and TextSecure apps were created in February following the original US-only release.
