Best Buy has announced that its first UK store – near Thurrock's Lakeside Shopping Centre – will open in May, followed by two more stores in June; Hedge End, near Southampton, and Merry Hill in the West Midlands. Next will come the store in Aintree, with an autumn opening planned for Croydon.
Best Buy Europe was created in 2008 when Best Buy acquired 50% of the Carphone Warehouse's European and US retail interests for £1.1billion.
