The European Telecommunications Standards Institute has postponed its anticipated decision about a new SIM card size.
At a meeting last week, ETSI’s Smart Card Platform Technical Committee decided to delay any vote on the subject. It’s hoping to achieve a broad industry consensus, although recent reports suggest Nokia is unhappy with plans proposed by Apple.
ETSI notes that a decision could be made at the next Technical Committee meeting at the end of May.
