The Eastman Kodak Company and Samsung Electronics have today agreed to license each other's technology. This pretty much marks the end of legal action that Kodak brought against Samsung and LG Electronics in 2008 when it alleged the mobile manufacturers' cameraphones infringed Kodak's digital camera patents.
The new agreement will allow each company access to the other’s patent portfolio and will also see Kodak receiving royalty payments from Samsung. A similar deal with LG was announced last month.
