California-based Amobee Media Systems, which enables mobile operators to advertise across a variety of content, has agreed to acquire London's RingRing Media – a two-year-old business described as the world's largest mobile advertising agency. RingRing's founders, Ben Tatton-Brown and Harry Dewhirst, will remain with the company.

Zohar Levkovitz, co-founder and CEO of Amobee, said "This acquisition solves an industry issue. By leveraging the RingRing Exchange [its mobile advertising platform] we are able to streamline the process and connect supply and demand using the best technology on the market. In doing so, we will be able to reduce the friction associated with today’s mobile media buying and offer a more integrated mobile advertising experience to our customers."

He went on to say that further acquisitions were planned as part of his company's aim to build the world’s largest mobile advertising player.
