Nokia C5 smartphoneNokia has revealed the Nokia C5 'smartphone', which is a compact one-piece handset that's expected to start selling for around 135 Euro SIM-free this summer. (Approximately £143 including VAT). It runs the Nokia S60 3rd edition operating system.

The Nokia C5 includes Nokia's free Ovi Maps application along with a contacts list that integrates Facebook status updates. It's equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera and is supplied with a 2GB memory card.

This new phone also marks the arrival of the 'Cseries', which Nokia says represents the core of its portfolio, with a focus on social interaction. It joins the flagship high-spec Nseries, the business Eseries and the entertaining Xseries. New model numbers will range from 1 to 9, indicating the range of features and giving a rough idea of pricing. (So, for example, the X6 is better-specified than the X3).
