Nokia’s NAVTEQ buys location-based advertising company

Last year Nokia bought digital mapping company NAVTEQ. Next, it bought bit-side to help with Nokia Maps. Now NAVTEQ itself has been doing some shopping. It’s just taken over Acuity Mobile, a US company that provides mobile advertising based on the user’s location. NAVTEQ and Acuity have worked together for several years, with NAVTEQ investing in Acuity 18 months ago. [Press release]
