Friday 7.49pm: a further update and apology from O2 says "There continue to be network issues affecting some customers roaming internationally and a small proportion of UK-based customers. The issue relates to how call traffic is being routed and we are working as quickly as we can with our network technology suppliers to re-route traffic and restore services."

Saturday 12.42pm and it looks as though O2 is now on top of the problem: "Our engineers have been working through the night to apply the fix to the issue affecting customers roaming in certain countries. The issue related to the routing of international call traffic into our UK-based systems. Roaming services have now been restored to the vast majority of customers travelling abroad. We apologise again for the inconvenience this has caused to our customers."<br><a href="http://dnc.o2.co.uk/home/2009/07/international-roaming-update-2.html" rel="nofollow">dnc.o2.co.uk/home/2009/07/international-roaming-update-2.html</a><br><br>
