Sony Ericsson has announced a new 3G fashion phone, Jalou, that’s due to launch by the end of 2009. It’s facet-cut, rather like Nokia’s Prism handsets, and is just 73mm tall – which the company describes as “shorter than your favourite lipstick”.
The flip-open design includes a 2-inch screen, a ‘Walk Mate’ step counter, a BMI calculator and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It weighs just 84g and will be available in Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black. A rose-coloured gold-plated Dolce & Gabbana version will also be created. [Product website]
