Telefónica has agreed to sell Manx Telecom, its Isle of Man business, to HgCapital and CPS Partners for £158.8 million. The deal is expected to be concluded by the end of the month. Manx Telecom was the first company in Europe to launch a live 3G service and also launched Europe's first commercial High Speed Downlink Packet Access data service. It will remain as Telefónica's preferred partner for services in the Isle of Man.
