Annual results from Hutchison Whampoa have revealed that customer numbers at Three UK have exceeded 9 million. That’s an 11% increase - 900,000 new customers - since the end of 2011.
Prepaid customer numbers rose by 2% while post-paid subscribers were up 18%. As a result, 58.1% of the company’s 9,052,000 customers are now on ‘pay monthly’ contracts.
Total revenue at Three UK was up 9% year-on-year to £1.95 billion.
Overall, the 3 Group’s European businesses ended 2012 with 23.52 million customers.
