Vodafone UK has launched a new service to help businesses manage staff smartphones. It's called Vodafone Smartphone Professional and it incorporates the Good for Enterprise solution from mobile security company Good Technology.
The new service makes it simpler for UK businesses to manage corporate data on Android, Windows and Nokia smartphones without interfering with the personal information on the device. Business data such as email, calendar and contacts can be encrypted on the phone, while IT administrators have remote access to control business applications, restrict functionality and wipe confidential information from a lost or stolen phone.
