Motorola says it’s on course to have a couple of Android-powered smartphones on sale by the end of 2009, with more planned for Q1 2010. The announcement came as the company revealed its quarterly results, which showed an overall profit – to the surprise of some commentators - although the mobile phone division still made a loss, albeit less than the previous year.
