UK mobile industry newspaper Mobile News has announced its plans for next year’s Mobile News Awards. Entries are now open for the event; the closing date is 10th February. The award ceremony will take place at the Park Lane Hilton in London on 17th March 2011.
New categories for Vertical Market Solution and Business Solutions Provider reflect the evolution of the mobile industry, while new Innovative Handset and Innovative Distributor awards will run alongside the existing awards for manufacturers and distributors. In addition, the Best Network Operator category has been expanded to include network performance, innovation, marketing and support alongside mystery caller results.
Categories for Accessories and Advertising have been dropped; there’ll also be no ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award on this occasion.
