Google has turned the Google Books service – launched in 2004 as a way of indexing your own library of books – into a fully-fledged eBookstore. The bookshop service is currently only available in the USA, offering more than three million eBooks with including hundreds of thousands available to buy.

Google eBooks can be read on a wide variety of devices, including laptops, smartphones and dedicated eReaders. There are applications for Android and Apple devices as well.
