Mark Bridge writes:

When I arrived at Mobile World Congress earlier this month, I said I wanted to see a bit of everything. Ground-breaking devices, advanced technology, network innovation... and some original applications as well. What I didn’t realise was that I could find all of those in one place, on the SK Telecom stand.

SK Telecom is a pioneering South Korean mobile network provider that’s already guaranteeing to provide national 4G LTE coverage for its customers within the next two years.

In today’s special podcast I report from the SK Telecom stand at Mobile World Congress 2011. I see a demonstration of a versatile high-quality video call service and discover an Android device running an application for diabetic patients.

I also had time to sit in the SK Telecom ‘Mobile In Vehicle’ car, which was running a telematics service that allowed wireless access to your smartphone's content via a digital dashboard.
