Ofcom advisors recommend ‘try before buy’ scheme for mobiles

The Communications Consumer Panel, which was created in 2003 to influence Ofcom, the government, the EU and mobile service & equipment providers, is suggesting a change in the way mobile phone contracts are sold. It says about a third of people regularly experience coverage problems and recommends that mobile networks include a “try before you buy” period in their contracts, which would let dissatisfied consumers move to a different network.
