The Daily Telegraph says the Interphone international study into the possible cancer risks of using mobile phones will reveal “that heavy users face a higher risk of developing brain tumours later in life”. The study has yet to publish any conclusions; some have criticised it for relying on the recollection of its participants rather than on any concrete data, while others have said the study is biased in favour of the telecom industry. A final report is expected by the end of the year.
