iPhone and Android users download 10 apps every month

AdMob’s July 2009 Metrics Report included additional information from over 1,000 Apple iPhone, iPod touch and Android users that looked at the way they used downloadable applications. AdMob discovered that:

  • Android and  iPhone users download approximately 10 new apps a month,
  • More than 90% of Android and iPhone users browse and search for apps directly on their mobile device, and
  • iPhone and iPod users are twice as likely to pay for an application than Android users.
