LG targeted by legal action from Taiwanese research organisation

Industrial Technology Research Institute, a Taiwan-based research group that’s linked to the country’s government, has accused LG Electronics of infringing 22 patents. The patents cover a wide range of products from mobile phones to air conditioners, although most seem to involve LCD screens.

ITRI wants compensation and is also asking for LG to be barred from using the technology.
