O2 to lose 40 UK stores in restructure

Mobile News reports that 40 O2 UK retail stores – 8% of its current total – are to be closed as the result of a restructure. In addition, around 400 jobs are going – the majority from retail roles – although the company is also recruiting for a number of new positions. The overall number of retail jobs is expected to remain stable.

Most of the closures will be smaller O2 shops, with 39 of the 40 expected to close by April.
