T-Mobile UK announces price rise for 'pay monthly' customers on older tariffs

T-Mobile UK has announced that it’ll be increasing some of its prices from 9th May 2012. Customers on most ‘pay monthly’ contracts will have their basic monthly charge increased by 3.7%.

Charges for items that aren’t included in the monthly allowance won’t be increased. There also won’t be any change for customers who joined after 1st February this year, which includes T-Mobile’s newer You Fix and The Full Monty tariffs.

The company says the price rises are due to rising costs of the business linked to inflation, which reached 3.7% in February 2012. Its terms & conditions allow an annual increase that’s no more than this figure.
