WiFi-equipped mobiles are still on the increase
Six months ago, ABI Research predicted that shipments of mobile phones with WiFi were going to double between 2008 and 2010. It now says the same pattern is true for 2009 to 2011… and it may even increase. This year it expects to see 144 million WiFi-enabled handsets shipped, with a forecast of over 300 million for 2011.
