Managed communications service specialist Azzurri Communications says its CEO is stepping down at the end of the current financial year. It follows a refinancing process that saw the company’s ‘senior debt’ reduced to £25 million from around £103 million.
Vim Vithaldas joined as CEO in December 2011 with the aim of delivering a firm foundation of financial stability and commercial focus for the business. He’s led the business through its transformation and has now decided for family reasons that he cannot continue his assignment beyond July.
Steve Andrews, who was appointed chairman of Azzurri Communications in November, said “We are now well set to accelerate further Azzurri’s position in the market and will announce Vim’s successor to take this forward during the coming months. Vim has the Board’s full confidence to continue to drive the business forward with my support and achieve a successful transition to the new CEO.”
