Huawei has revealed five new products in advance of Mobile World Congress 2014, which opens in Barcelona tomorrow.
Rumours of a ‘smartwatch’ were rewarded with the appearance of the Huawei TalkBand. This has the form factor of a flexible fitness tracker but also incorporates a removable Bluetooth headset with a built-in OLED display.
The Ascend G6 is a 4G-capable Android smartphone with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for self-portraits, plus a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera.
Both tablets also run Android; the MediaPad M1 has an 8-inch HD (1280 x 800) screen, while the slimmer MediaPad X1 has a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 full HD display. There’s a 13 megapixel camera on the back of the X1 and a 5 megapixel camera on the front, plus 4G connectivity and support for voice calling.
