Aerospace and defence manufacturer Boeing has announced an Android-based smartphone with what’s being described by many people as a ‘self-destruct’ anti-tamper case. It’s called the Boeing Black and has been in development for the past two years.
Breaking into the phone would apparently cause it to delete its software and the user’s personal data. There’s also additional software-based protection and embedded hardware-based security.
Specifications include a 4.3-inch display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and dual-SIM capability. Boeing says the phone will be assembled in the USA and will offer the option of interchangeable rear covers for additional functionality.
