Google has announced its own-brand Nexus One smartphone at a press event in California this evening. The phone, which has the newest version of the Android operating system, is going on sale in the USA immediately and will be coming to Vodafone in Europe from the spring. It's manufactured by HTC and is currently available unlocked or with a T-Mobile USA connection from www.google.com/phone.
