Motorola Mobility has announced its first quarterly and full-year results as an independent company.
Overall quarterly revenue was $3.4 billion (£2.1 billion), up 21% from the same period in 2009, while revenue from the mobile devices business was $2.4 million.
The company shipped 11.3 million handsets in the quarter and a total of 37.3 million during 2010, of which 4.9 million and 13.7 million respectively were smartphones.

Our Home business performed well and remains a premier provider of digital set-tops and end-to-end video solutions. With the global opportunities ahead, along with our diversified portfolio, our brand, and our people, we are well positioned to grow, and further improve our financial results in 2011.”
