Chinese telecommunications company Huawei has announced a number of ‘smart devices’ at Mobile World Congress today. There’s a new slim smartphone – the Huawei IDEOS X3 – and a new tablet, along with a data card and a wireless modem.
The Android-powered Huawei IDEOS X3 will launch in the spring. It has a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a 3.2-megapixel camera. It’s expected to run Android 2.3 in most markets.
Meanwhile, the Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim tablet is expected to be available from April.
Victor Xu, chief marketing officer of Huawei Device, said “The IDEOS range and our latest mobile broadband solutions are intuitive, simple to use products that offer users an enhanced mobile experience integrated seamlessly across different wireless technologies. As we move into 2011, Huawei will continue to lead the drive to provide consumers with smart mobile connectivity at the right price.”
