Motorola Mobility invests in mobile game developer Moblyng

Motorola Mobility Ventures has invested in Moblyng, a California-based developer of cross-platform games for mobile devices and social networks. Moblyng games have already been downloaded more than 9 million times to Android, Facebook, iOS and WebOS platforms.

As well as producing its own titles, including m:Racing and Dungeon Quest, Moblyng also works with publishers to extend their games and brands to mobile phones and social platforms.

Harshul Sanghi, managing director of Motorola Mobility Ventures, said “Motorola Mobility Ventures seeks out the most innovative and promising new companies in which to invest, and we found a strong synergy between our vision for the future of mobile and Moblyng's strategic direction. Moblyng was an early adopter of Android and is an industry leader in using HTML5 to bring cross-platform social gaming experiences to mobile devices. We look forward to accelerating the realization of their vision.”
