Doro wins injunction to ban European sales of Emporia phone

Doro, which produces mobile phones aimed at older customers, has won a preliminary injunction that blocks sales of the Emporia Telme phone in Europe.

A court in Germany has ruled that Emporia’s phone infringes on the registered design of Doro devices.

The news follows a separate court case in January when German company ITM Einkauf was prohibited from selling a model that infringed the design of the Doro Phone Easy410gsm model.

Jérôme Arnaud, President and CEO of Doro, said “I am very pleased that the Landgericht Hamburg court acknowledges our position. We work intensively and continuously with innovation, design and branding. That is why we also promptly and consistently challenge any infringements upon our intellectual property rights.”
