BlackBerry's BBM Music goes live in the UK

The BBM Music service from Research In Motion has gone live in the UK, charged at £4.99 per month after the 60-day free trial ends.

The downloadable app, which was revealed in August, lets users save up to 50 music tracks on their BlackBerry device. A ‘social’ element allows users to share their music choices with up to 140 friends, offering a potential 7,000 tracks. The BBM Music library - stocked with tracks from major labels including EMI, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group - has over 9 million tracks. Users can change up to 25 tracks each month.
