The last couple of months have been a busy time for easy-to-use mobile phone manufacturer Doro. The Swedish company has recently produced its five millionth phone, signed an anti-virus deal with AVG and gained Google Mobile Services partner certification.

It’s now adding High-Definition Voice technology to its PhoneEasy 621 and PhoneEasy 622 handsets. Both of these 3G clamshell phones will support HD Voice on compatible networks, whether the connection is via the handset, a connected headset or in loudspeaker mode.

Doro’s implementation of HD Voice also offers background noise reduction.

Thomas Bergdahl, vice president of Product Development at Doro, said “We are always looking for new and innovative technologies to further improve our product offering. HD Voice is an extremely positive addition to our handsets as it takes our audio capabilities to the next level. It creates a significant differentiator within the market and enables us to enhance the quality of conversations. We are taking our unique three sound curve approach from feature phones into smartphones and HD.”

HD Voice will be added to other compatible Doro phones in the future.

Have just bought your 612 and it is very easy to use, am physically disabled and like the Button layout.

My friend has the 606 and also likes her phone.

Elderly and physically restricted should find your phones an asset.

The market place is becoming increasingly crowded with 50 or so vendors who now position themselves as MDMs. Some vendors offer application sharing, some multitenant management, other vendors have a heritage in security or a different strength all together. For organisations considering which option is best it is important to discern between the best known names or the most expensive solutions and select an MDM solution that is fit for purpose.
